Friend of The BoTree and local gallerist Jean David Malat jumped at the chance to showcase one of his artists in the lobby. Bringing the art world into the hotel proved very popular. Bilbao-based visual artist Luis Olaso’s abstract works were displayed throughout Frieze and caused quite a stir. Bold, full of colour and emotion and very definitely having something to say, the pieces looked very much at home in The BoTree.
